NEW YORK - Shares of airline companies rallied in morning trading Tuesday as crude oil prices fell sharply, dropping to their lowest price since April.
October crude futures tumbled $7.25 to $108.21 a barrel, the lowest price seen for that contract since April. The contract has now lost 27% since hitting an all-time high of $147.90 in intraday trading on July 11.
