NEW YORK - Shares of Delta Air Lines Inc. rose Thursday after Northwest shareholders approved Delta's bid for their company.
Other airline stocks were mixed as oil prices rose.
The Amex Airline Index gained 0.2 percent.
Oil prices, critical to airlines because jet fuel is their biggest expense, rose $1.55 to $107.28 per barrel, as investors awaited a deal to address the U.S. financial sector crisis and wondered whether that would affect energy demand.
